Strategic Partnerships

Digital Media CT (DMCT) is a Connecticut initiative that values forging strategic partnerships with other state organizations committed to nurturing and retaining emerging talent in creative content production.

In partnership with the Connecticut Office of Film, Television, and Digital Media, DMCT works closely with both public and private higher education institutions, including universities and community colleges across the state. Each institution has at least one faculty member who serves on the DMCT Advisory Board, receiving a small stipend for their participation. Through these board members, DMCT shares critical information and opportunities available to the community, such as:

  • Participation in community events
  • Free student award submissions
  • Internship opportunities
  • industry partnerships & employer relationships
  • Insights on how to be prepare for the workforce

DMCT also maintains strong relationships with leading industry employers and community organizations. These collaborations offer crucial support for programs and initiatives that directly benefit students:

CT Based Media Companies: Industry giants like A&E Networks support our DMCT Talent Placement prgoram and companies like ITV-America assist us with creating new micro-credentials both with th goal of providing hands-on experience and career developement.

Launchpad by the Village Community Foundation: The foundation plays and essential role supporting DMCT by hosting our annual summit, providing DMCT Students with career discovery programs and placing our students in competititve internship positions through their newest venture Launchpad, giving them invaluable real-world experience.

Norwalk Film Festival: Our partnership supports our 48-Hour Film Challenge and has resulted in an increase in student-produced films being selected and featured during their film festival, offering students more opportunities for visibilit and industry recognition.

Connecticut Art Directors Club: CADC allows students to submit their work to the prestigious CADC Annual Awards Show at no charge, opening doors to recognition and career advancement.
